Regarding mobile Wi-Fi connection issues:

When trying to connect to the microscope via Wi-Fi, please ensure that the following settings are enabled on your mobile device:

  1. Location Services (GPS) – must be on
  2. Precise Location – also needs to be enabled
  3. Local Network Access – allow the app to access your local network
  4. Cellular Data – please turn off cellular data during Wi-Fi connection
    Also, a pop-up prompt for local network access will appear in the app. If you later enable this feature in settings, force close and restart the app before trying again.

For iPad/PC USB connection:

  1. Make sure you have downloaded the correct app that supports iPad via USB connection. You can download the appropriate iPad/PC app from the following link: beaverlab-point
  2. First open the iPad's built-in camera (not the microscope app) to confirm that the camera is available.
  3. Then connect the microscope to the iPad via USB.
  4. Once connected, go to Settings > Bluetooth & other devices and you should see the microscope listed as a camera device. Click to select.
